It was a Friday evening last fall when news emerged that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had died.
A group of women lawyers who had all formerly worked at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York immediately began texting each other to commiserate and share their grief over the news, which hit them hard.
