Carlson Lynch; Clayborne, Sabo & Wagner; Kruger, Henry & Hunter; Cooper Law Firm; Thompson Barney and Ron Austin & Associates filed an environmental lawsuit against Honeywell International Tuesday in Illinois Southern District Court. The court action was filed on behalf of the City of Metropolis and Massac County, where Honeywell maintained a nuclear plant that has been repurposed for uranium storage. Honeywell is accused of endangering residents with contamination from hazardous waste, including increasing instances of cancer and the risk of a nuclear event. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 3:21-cv-00860, City of Metropolis, Illinois et al v. Honeywell International, Inc.
