Global law firms are jostling to recruit and retain talent in Brazil as the pandemic has led lawyers to reassess their professional ambitions and the heavy workload shows no signs of abating.

The competition is especially fierce for capable associates, many of whom are fielding multiple offers from top firms as the country experiences a white-hot market for initial public offerings, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions.
