Law firms want to increase their own diversity. And they’re under pressure from clients to do exactly that. But it’s unusual to see them pushing their resources outward, in an effort to diversify an entire industry sector.

That, however, is a key goal of a new program from Lathrop GPM, which is bringing in a Pulitzer-winning historian to launch a series aimed at promoting greater inclusion in the $670 billion franchise sector.
