McCann—whose responsibilities include leading Edelson's recruiting, training and diversity efforts—said that every time she presents the firm's work to law schools, five to 10 students come up to her afterward telling her they didn't know that the plaintiffs bar existed and was a viable career option. Besides just getting the word out at law schools, the firm has also deployed marketing creative tactics.
