Two former Girardi Keese partners testified on Wednesday that Tom Girardi purposely directed clients of the Lion Air Flight 610 crash in 2018 not to receive their full settlement funds, then lied about the reasons for the delays in their payments.

U.S. District Judge Tom Durkin, who issued a contempt order against Girardi and his firm last year, is presiding over an evidentiary hearing in his Chicago courtroom that’s aimed at uncovering whether two other Girardi Keese partners, Keith Griffin and David Lira, should also be sanctioned for failing to pay $2 million to four clients with settlements over the crash in Indonesia.
