The first year of law school can be a shock to the system—so much so that it can lead to physical ailments, including fluctuating weight, sciatica, eye strain and skin conditions, according to law students on Reddit.

On Thursday, Reddit user u/smartblonde16 posted in the r/LawSchool subreddit about some of the physical issues they’ve experienced during their first semester: unintentional weight loss, vision changes, headaches, acid reflux, and tremors that they didn’t experience prior to law school.
