Despite facing heftier monetary sanctions and the potential of losing his law license, Massachusetts attorney Gary Dolan is appealing a U.S. District Curt judge’s order to pay attorney fees after a federal judge dismissed fraud allegations against opposing counsel and a state trial court judge stemming from their alleged misconduct in a decade-old slip-and-fall case.

Dolan represented the plaintiff, Nellie Sancinocencio, in a simple negligence lawsuit after she accumulated more than $330,000 worth of medical bills from injuries she sustained in a slip-and-fall. In 2015, an Essex Superior Court jury returned a verdict of no liability for the defendants.
