Massachusetts’ top court on Wednesday suspended a state judge for groping a trial court employee during a court-sponsored conference at a resort on Cape Cod.

Worcester Probate and Family Court Judge Paul Sushchyk is suspended without pay while the state’s governor and Legislature consider whether he should remain on the bench, according to the Supreme Judicial Court’s ruling. The court said the severe sanction is warranted because Sushchyk brought “undeserved discredit to the administration of justice in the Commonwealth.”
