Welcome to the Law Firm Disrupted, a briefing from Law.com reporter Dan Packel that surveys new competitive pressures on law firms and how their managers are coping, plus insights on the tactics and tech employed by would-be disruptors. Have an opinion? Email me here. When our team puts together the Am Law 100 rankings, there's plenty of material that gets left on the cutting room floor. This is a process built on the willingness of law firms to fill out a survey that gets longer every year, along with our own dogged efforts to ferret out details on the few firms that aren't quite so willing, followed by interviews with law firm leaders to ensure that the numbers make sense.

Not that we let the data collected during this process–quantitative, qualitative and simply impressionistic–go to waste. Hence a webinar that I participated in this morning: "The Am Law 100 Box Set: Insights from the Data We Didn't Release."
