Citing dozens of newly obtained emails and bank records, Edelson PC is raising new allegations in its fee lawsuit against Girardi Keese that two of the firm’s former partners participated in Tom Girardi’s fraud.

The Chicago-based firm’s initial 2020 lawsuit named as defendants Girardi and Girardi Keese, co-counsel in lawsuits brought over the 2018 Lion Air crash, as well as additional defendants including Girardi’s wife, Erika Girardi. But two years later, the primary defendants are now former Girardi Keese partners David Lira and Keith Griffin, both of whom have pending motions for summary judgment.
