Juries Hit Monsanto With $269M in PCB Verdicts

A small school outside Seattle is causing large legal problems for Monsanto, with three juries in the past year awarding a total of $269 million against the Bayer subsidiary. The cases allege Monsanto's PCB (which stands for polychlorinated biphenyls), used in fluorescent light fixtures and window sill caulking, has caused brain injuries and other health problems for about 200 teachers, students and parents who attended Sky Valley Education Center in Monroe, Washington.
