A Massachusetts attorney was suspended for one year and one day after accepting a $2,000 retainer to handle a landlord-tenant lawsuit and failing to file the complaint.

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court issued the suspension of attorney Bryan B. Kidd for violation of the Massachusetts Rules of Professional Conduct relating to one client matter. Kidd, first admitted to the Commonwealth Bar in 1990, has maintained his own practice since 2002 specializing in landlord-tenant law, according to the order for suspension.
