California Western School of Law received a $3 million gift, the largest philanthropic gift in the law school’s history, which is to be used for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Donors Elaine Galinson and Herb Solomon, who are longtime supporters of the law school, gifted the law school $50,000 a year ago in support of its efforts to attract, reward and inspire students who are committed to the pursuit of justice and equality—a gift made through the Jewish Community Foundation San Diego’s Joseph Glickman Donor Advised Fund, named for Elaine Galinson’s father, according to the school.
