Herbert Smith Freehills and Allen & Overy have taken roles on an €8 billion revolving credit facility for Airbus, with the terms of the credit linked to the company’s environmental, social, and governance criteria.

The deal is part of a growing trend among corporate borrowers and lenders in Europe to link financing facilities to the borrower’s ESG goals.
