Recreational-Use Marijuana Supporters Launch Another Initiative Drive in Florida

Backers of recreational marijuana in Florida believe they've found the winning political combination: Trulieve, the Sunshine State's largest medical cannabis operator, and Florida-based country music act The Bellamy Brothers.

The corporate-and-entertainment odd couple filed a proposed initiative this week that would ask voters in 2024 to allow those 21 or older to "possess, purchase or use" marijuana for "non-medical personal consumption by smoking, ingestion or otherwise." Trulieve has already kicked in $5 million to get the measure on the ballot.
