Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has increased the number of days it expects its London and Manchester legal workforce to be in the office, as firms continue to grapple with sparse offices in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a person close to the firm, partners, associates and trainees will now be expected to be in the office for at least three days a week. This is an increase to its 50% remote working policy, which the firm drew up for post-pandemic working in March 2021.
