The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit affirmed the district court's dismissal of a Missouri attorney's civil complaint against various individuals and entities associated with the state's bar, licensing and disciplinary proceedings.
An investigation into Samuel Trapp's practice by the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel's disciplinary hearing panel revealed professional misconduct violations, including refusing to refund a client and transferring the deed of a client's home to himself in exchange for legal fees, according to the appeals court's opinion.
