In a closely watched data breach case, Marriott moved on Monday to reverse a rare order certifying a class of its hotel guests.
In a brief before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, Marriott attorney Matthew Hellman argued that U.S. District Judge Paul Grimm, in Maryland, made several errors when certifying a class of 20 million hotel guests impacted by a 2018 data breach.
