Goodwin and Covington & Burling have both added their largest ever rounds of new partners to their London bases this year.

U.S. headquartered firms Covington & Burling and Goodwin Procter have announced their latest round of partner promotions, with both outfits revealing record additions to their London partnerships. Goodwin Procter has added 58 lawyers to its partnership this year, up significantly from last year's figure of 37. The figure is its largest round ever, according to the firm.
The majority of its new partners hail from its Boston base, where the firm launched. 22 lawyers were promoted to partner in that office. Within this bumper year, the firm has also promoted its largest ever set of London lawyers to partner, with 10 making the cut.
