A Tennessee lawyer has been disbarred on reciprocal discipline by the state's Supreme Court for "flagrant dishonesty" in connection with a mishandled workers' compensation case, as well as requesting excessive attorney fees.

Senior trial attorney Johnnie L. Johnson III was a member of the bar of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and had been practicing law since 1970, according to the high court's Oct. 18 order of reciprocal discipline.
