Attorneys from Baker McKenzie have been disqualified from representing Russia's VUZ Bank after a federal judge in Virginia determined a conflict of interest was present.
VUZ Bank filed an application to assist with potential criminal proceedings in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, pursuant to federal law. The bank asserted its application resulted from Rus-AgroExport LLC, Hakan Holdings and Hakan Agro allegedly misappropriating loans.
