Kyrsten Sinema's party switch, Raphael Warnock's reelection win in Georgia and what it all means for the future of President Joe Biden's judicial nominees.

118th Congress Preview: Sinema Party Switch, Warnock's Win, Biden's Future Judicial Noms and His Possible Judicial Impact

As of Friday morning, Arizona U.S. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema switched from the Democratic Party to registering as an independent, and Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Georgia, has been reelected to a full term in the upper house.

While Sinema's switch may raise eyebrows among court watchers, an open door is expected for President Joe Biden's future judicial appointments, at least until they get out of committee, once the 118th Congress opens next month.
