Despite U.S. News & World Report's announcement that it is revamping its law school education rankings, two more law schools have announced this week that they will no longer participate—and now a medical school has followed suit.

South Texas College of Law Houston and Roger Williams University School of Law in Rhode Island both made announcements Tuesday, along with Harvard Medical School.

George Q. Daley, dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Harvard University, who said the rankings result in "unintended consequences," "perverse incentives" and "set policies to boost rankings rather than nobler objectives," credited Dean John Manning of Harvard Law School and peer law schools' "courageous and bold moves" for compelling him to act.
