The University of Pittsburgh School of Law—tied at number 78 in the rankings—is the 42nd school to pull out of the U.S. News & World Report education rankings.

"The U.S. News ranking system is systematically flawed and harmful to both legal education and the legal profession," Haider Ala Hamoudi, interim dean and professor of law, said in a statement emailed to Law.com on Monday.

Hamoudi became interim dean on Feb. 3 after Amy Wildermuth resigned abruptly on Jan. 23.
