The dean of one of the six Historically Black Colleges and Universities law schools has been chosen as the first Black president of Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.

Danielle Ren Holley, the dean of Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C., since July 2014, will become the 20th president of the private liberal arts women’s college in South Hadley on July 1, according to Howard Law’s announcement.
