Dreams of a “getting the perfect smile” may have led to nightmare reality with years of litigation and court proceedings for one woman who participated in a NBC’s Today Show segment nearly 20 years ago.

The plaintiff, Patricia Leighton, was featured on NBC’s Today Show in 2006, in a segment titled “Getting the Perfect Smile,” to undergo extensive dental treatment after suffering from cancer. However, Leighton claimed that three New-York based dentists, Marc G. Lowenberg, Gregg Lituchy, Brian Kantor, along with their dental practice, never finished her treatment, and the treatment that they did provide began to fail.
