An incorrect jury instruction led Iowa’s highest court to reverse a verdict against a landlord accused of discriminatory conduct.
In an April 7 opinion, the Iowa Supreme Court said the jury had been improperly instructed with regard to steering charges against landlord Patrick Knueven, and that there was insufficient evidence to proceed with the case under the correct instruction.
