Judges are uniquely situated to reach out to the media and use the press as a way of educating the public about the way the court system works, retired Judge Jeremy Fogel, now executive director of the Berkeley Judicial Institute, said last week during a panel discussion.
BJI presented "Why judges should communicate with the media" on June 16—the first part of a three-part series focusing on why and how judges should communicate with the press.
