A veteran New York criminal defense attorney with a blemish-free career is now facing interim suspensions at both the state and federal level in Maine for a series of alleged misconduct after he was admitted to practice in the Pine Tree State just over a year ago.

Scott L. Fenstermaker, a solo practitioner who has a law practice in New York City, expanded his practice into Maine when he was admitted to the bar in May 2022, but his ability to practice at the Maine state court level has been short-lived due to disciplinary complaints recently filed against him.
