A sorority at the center of a civil lawsuit filed by six of its current and former members seeking to void the membership of a transgender woman admitted into a chapter at the University of Wyoming filed a motion to dismiss last week.

Plaintiffs Jaylyn Westenbroek, Hannah Holtmeier, Allison Coghan, Grace Choate, Madeline Ramar and Megan Kosar filed an amended complaint in April alleging that the acceptance of Artemis Langford, a transgender woman, violated membership requirements and disregarded the sorority's history as a "single-sex organization for women."
