The Mississippi Court of Appeals affirmed a judgment against a hospital in a wrongful death suit involving a woman who died after spending hours bleeding while in the hospital’s care, despite the facility knowing it didn’t have the proper resources to treat her.

In a July 18 opinion, authored by Judge David N. McCarty, the court affirmed a judgment against Singing River Health System in the suit filed on behalf of the family of Debbie Edwards.
