Jamelle Sharpe, currently a professor of law at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Law, will become dean of the law school on Aug. 16.
He was chosen to be the law school's 14th dean, following a national search, and will become the Guy Raymond Jones Faculty Scholar pending board approval, according to the school's announcement.
