A federal judge in Idaho granted a temporary restraining order last week that challenged a state senate bill requiring students in public schools to use the bathroom or locker room that corresponds with his or her biological sex.

U.S. District Chief Judge David C. Nye of the District of Idaho said he would hold Idaho Senate Bill 1100 in abeyance until the court had an opportunity to rule on the merits of the action, according to the order filed Aug. 10.
