The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit affirmed a lower court’s grant of qualified immunity to the University of Iowa after a graduate student found responsible for sexual assault and sexual harassment filed suit against the university and university officials.

The John Doe plaintiff appealed the district court’s granting of qualified immunity University of Iowa officials, including the dismissal of his procedural due process claims against the officials, and the granting of summary judgment to the university on the remaining claims.
