A Montana state judge issued an order last week granting a temporary preliminary injunction against the Legislature's bill banning gender-affirming care for transgender youth in the state.

District Judge Jason Marks found that the plaintiffs—two transgender minors joined by their parents; parents of an anonymous, nonparty minor; and pediatric endocrinologist Dr. Juanita Hodax—satisfied the requirements to issue a preliminary injunction against Senate Bill 99, which was scheduled to go into effect Oct. 1.
