This is our second, and final reflection on our "fishbowl" session at the 2023 Women, Influence & Power in Law (WIPL) conference in New Orleans about emotional intelligence in the law.

One key takeaway came from a discussion about having the attributes and the mindsets to practice law successfully. Pretty foundational stuff!

This matters because anybody can win a new client — and also lose one. Sustainability isn't about getting new clients through the door, it's about getting repeat business from existing clients. Therein lies the difference between client churn and client loyalty. It's what separates lawyers who have a good year from those who have a good book.
