Amid a purported uptick in plaintiffs verdicts doling out staggering damages amounts, leaders at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe decided to dig into the data to learn more about juror attitudes in venues around the country. In this week's episode, AmLaw Litigation Daily editor and columnist Ross Todd spoke with Meghan Kelly and Bill Oxley, who co-lead Orrick's complex litigation practice, about their recent national jury research project.

Kelly and Oxley dive into some of the findings in their report, including data showing the American public's declining faith in large institutions, both private and public, such as the U.S. justice system and major corporations. One of the most surprising takeaways from the survey is that these attitudes are shared among multiple demographic groups.
