A Firm's Cannabis Practice Fight Spills Into the Public

Ugly partnership divorces are not uncommon in the legal world. But the one that went public in New York this week offers an unusual peek into a boutique firm trying to make a go of it with a cannabis practice.

Lauren Rudick on Tuesday sued her former firm, Hiller PC, and the firm's managing partner, Michael S. Hiller, in New York Supreme Court for New York County. Rudick, represented by Leeds Brown Law PC, alleges that Hiller didn't pay her what she was owed and made her work during maternity leave.
