Plaintiff Drops Interstate Cannabis Sales Suit

Another road to possible interstate cannabis sales was shut down last week when an Oregon plaintiff dropped a related lawsuit against state officials.

Medford cannabis wholesaler Jefferson Packing House on Jan. 24 asked a federal judge to dismiss its lawsuit against Gov. Tina Kotek, which alleged the state ban on interstate cannabis sales violates the Dormant Commerce Clause. The filing, made one day before scheduled oral arguments on the state's motion to dismiss, did not offer a reason for dropping the suit.
