Two students at the University of Toledo College of Law have filed a complaint with the American Bar Association against the school for a grading error that affected the majority of students in a fall 2023 legal ethics course taught by professor Llewellyn Gibbons.

The students’ complaint, filed Wednesday by 4L Kristin Volk and 3L Collin Garcia, alleges violations of Standard 308, which states in part “law school shall adopt, publish, and adhere to sound academic standards,” asserting that the school has been ”unethical in their concealment” of the situation.
