The Chicago Teachers Union and its top officers were hit with a class action on Feb. 16 in Illinois Circuit Court for Cook County which alleged that a 2022 strike over COVID-19 safety measures in public schools resulted in student's missing $213.4 million worth of learning time.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
