The court sided with plaintiffs on their negligence and willful and wanton claims against Motorola after alleging they were born with severe birth defects as a result of their parents' exposure to reproductively toxic chemicals while being employed at Motorola-owned semiconductor manufacturing facilities in Arizona and Texas.

The Illinois Appellate Court First District, Fourth Division, has reversed a summary judgment order in favor of Motorola Solutions in multiple negligence suits after determining questions of material fact remained whether employees who were exposed to reproductively toxic chemicals at a semiconductor manufacturing facility led to severe birth defects in their children.
