The revisions to the standards and rules were made to "clean up" some of the wording to bring them in line with previously revised standards and rules plus the revisions were made after a review of the U.S. Department of Education regulations and recent guidance to incorporate any relevant USDE regulation change, according to Council's May 23 memorandum.

The American Bar Association's Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar sent out minor revisions to three standards and four rules for notice and comment in a recent meeting with a June 24 deadline.
At its meeting on May 17, the council approved for notice and comment proposed revisions pertaining to required public disclosures, applications for substantive change, provisional approval and teach-out plans as well as others.
