Over the past 12 months, at least eight American law firms have closed or have announced that they will be closing their offices in Greater China.
All eight firms, Sidley Austin, Weil Gotshal & Manges, Latham & Watkins, Perkins Coie, Proskauer Rose, Akin Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe and Winston & Strawn, sit within the top rungs of the Am Law 100.
