Australia will soon enact far-reaching privacy law reform, creating increased work for companies and unmet demand for privacy lawyers from corporations and law firms.
A government-commissioned privacy law review last year recommended 116 changes to the 36-year-old Privacy Act, of which the government has committed to adopt 106. It expects to produce legislation by August.
