Bench ReportHappy Friday, and welcome to another roundup of the week's news about the judiciary. This week, the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously advanced a bill that, if passed by Congress, would be the first legislation in decades creating new federal judgeships. While there was plenty of praise for the effort at the committee's executive business meeting, a few lawmakers also shared some skepticism.
