The American Bar Association published a letter Tuesday signed by more than 100 U.S. law school deans, in partnership with the ABA’s Task Force for American Democracy, pushing the legal community to prioritize training necessary for the next generation of lawyers to sustain constitutional democracy and the rule of law.

The letter, dated June 18, asks that all members of the legal profession join them in the “vital work ahead,” noting that “lawyers play a critical role in sustaining our constitutional democracy.”
