President Joe Biden on Wednesday nominated North Carolina Solicitor General Ryan Park for a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
As solicitor general, Park argued for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s use of race as a factor in admissions in the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case decided last summer that ended affirmative action in college admissions.
