Former Kasowitz Benson Torres partner Jay Deshmukh filed a suit Tuesday against the firm, alleging that it owes him $264,000 in compensation after his employment was terminated a month short of his one-year mark.
In a statement Wednesday, a Kasowitz Benson spokesperson said the firm paid “him generously” during a time when he was unproductive in revenue and “the firm owes him nothing.”
